The lens uses a patented filtering technology to block 80% of blue light in the lower range of 400 to 455 nanometers; this is the most energetic and harmful type of light emitted by screens and lighting. More importantly, it allows all the beneficial blue light in the upper part of the spectrum (455-500 nm) to pass through, which is essential during the day for optimal hormone production, energy, a positive mood, and motivation.
